Skate Ontario is saddened to learn of the passing of Cherie Alexander on May 25, 2022.  Cherie was a long-time Skate Ontario and Skate Canada official and a dedicated skating volunteer for more than 30 years. Her passion for skating along with her positivity and energy in the rinks will be dearly missed.

Cherie was an active Judge, Evaluator and Technical Official who gave generously of her time and was an enthusiastic supporter of skating at all levels. She was also the recipient of the 2020-21 Skate Ontario Officials Award recognizing her many contributions to skating clubs, coaches and skaters particularly during the challenging pandemic season.

Cherie is the proud mother of Maddy and Ben Alexander who are both former Skate Ontario skaters. The hearts of the Ontario skating community go out to them at this difficult time as Cherie will be dearly missed by many.
