Lisa leads Skate Ontario by overseeing strategy, operations, and growth initiatives. Working closely with the Board of Directors, she ensures the effective execution of Skate Ontario’s mission and vision, maintaining the highest standards in programs, services, and events, and fostering excellence among member clubs, skating schools, the skating community, and the organization.
Claire is responsible for developing and implementing the overall communications strategy across the organization, including creating and managing the communications calendar. She oversees the Skate Ontario brand, and is responsible for managing sponsor and partner relationships.
Kelsey is responsible for aligning systems, processes, and resources with organizational goals. She provides leadership to optimize event systems and support the professional development of officials and volunteers, including the Volunteer Management model and toolkits. Kelsey also leads the Officials portfolio, including the Judges, Evaluators and Technical (JET) Officials Working Group.
Brittany collaborates with partner host skating clubs and schools in event planning, logistics, and execution. She manages event registration, develops and maintains event hosting tools and resources, and provides support for the Skate Ontario event bid application process. Brittany also participates in the Provincial and STAR 1-4 Athlete Assignment process.
Tristan collaborates with partner host skating clubs and schools in event planning, logistics, and execution. Denise is the Club Modernization Pilot Program co-lead, leads the STAR 1-5 Excellence Recognition Program and supports club visits to enhance club development and growth.
Emma manages all Digital Broadcast operations, including relationships with outside agencies, facilities, broadcast partners, and contractors. She oversees all digital broadcast platforms and content and handles the setup and troubleshooting of hardware for both on-site and remote live broadcasts. Emma also recruits, trains, and supervises the Broadcast Team and produces and directs Skate Ontario live broadcasts.
Michelle drafts and manages event budgets, overseeing all aspects of event project management. She develops and maintains strong relationships with partner host clubs and schools, conducts annual event calendar reviews, and recommends and implements changes. Michelle also leads the bid application and review process and leads the Skate Ontario events team.
Jessica is responsible for the full accounting cycle, including monthly financial reporting on budgets for all departments across the organization. She supports all stages of the annual audit and oversees projects of the Administrator of Finance and Administration.
Pj connects Skate Ontario with potential sponsors and partners, fostering new relationships and opportunities for strategic collaboration. She also produces engaging digital content, including blogs, podcasts, live and in-person interviews as well as on-site event coverage.
Chris leads the development of Singles, Pair, Ice Dance, and Synchronized Skating at the Podium Pathway level, focusing on both coach and athlete development.
Ellen serves as the initial point of contact for the Events Department, providing support with day-to-day operations. She is responsible for ordering and tracking gift cards for officials, and using established metrics and tracking tools to support event analysis.
Rachael is responsible for assisting in the development and delivery of all Skate Ontario communications aspects across all channels including the website, social media platforms, e-communications and on-site event coverage.
Ainsley coordinates maintenance and customer support for the Skate Ontario Members Portal and manages the Membership MOU process and accountability documents for all active Member Clubs and Skating Schools. She also organizes training and education sessions, supporting the development of resources and services for these members. Additionally, Ainsley promotes Skate Ontario Member Services through onsite engagement at various events throughout the season.
Ally manages day-to-day communication with officials, evaluators, and coach assessors, and supports both online and in-person delivery of officials’ clinics, seminars, and development opportunities. She oversees data entry and tracking for officials' event participation and educational activities, and manages JET communications. Ally also assists the JET Officials Working Group with promotional efforts, tracking, documentation and communication, and maintains the Officials Lounge.
Kate provides guidance and support to members on governance, organizational management, safe sport, and human resource issues at the club and skating school level. She oversees the membership application process for new clubs and skating schools and is responsible for developing educational resources and leading Skate Ontario’s Dispute Resolution Process.
Jarret is the Club Modernization Pilot Program co-lead, provides support to the STAR 1-5 Excellence Recognition Program and is the club visit lead to enhance club development and growth.
Vicki serves as the CanSkate Excellence Lead, providing support for the Club Modernization Pilot Program and assisting with club visits to enhance club development and growth.
Monica is responsible for Sport Team administration, providing support in the delivery of Podium Pathway and Provincial programming.
Alec is responsible for organizing National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP) courses across the province, for coaches of all levels and pathways.
Scott is responsible for the strategic direction and execution of all sport development programs for Skate Ontario and leads the Sport Department, including high performance, athlete and coach development programs. He ensures a consistent and best in class approach to all skating programs and that consistent sport development philosophies are incorporated across all Skate Ontario departments and operations. Scott also directs the Club Modernization Pilot Program.
Katherine is responsible for developing coaches and athletes at the Provincial Series and STAR 6-Gold level. She also oversees adult programming to support growth, development and opportunities for adult skaters.
Michelle is responsible for general Sport Team administration, providing support to all team members.
Michelle supports the Finance Manager with daily finance operations and ensures the Skate Ontario office is organized and stocked. She leads organizational projects such as the Ontario Skaters Promotional Contest, organizes and runs the voting platform for the Annual General Meeting and coordinates the Section Awards. She also coordinates staff and Board of Directors meetings to meet operational needs of the organization.
Derek is responsible for overseeing of Skate Ontario’s financial, risk management and business operations including human resource management, facility management, Information Technology, Communications administration and support. He has overall responsibility for the design, implementation and maintenance of relevant policies and procedures. Derek also supports the Executive Director in the areas of governance, strategic and operational planning and relationship management with funding partners and stakeholders.
