Team Skate Ontario ready to take on The Challenge in Winnipeg!

The athletes representing Skate Ontario have been gearing up for the Skate Canada Challenge event taking place in Winnipeg this coming weekend where Junior and Senior skaters in all four disciplines will be competing. Earning a spot to compete at the upcoming Canadian Tire National Figure Skating Championships happening in Ottawa in early January 2023 is what is at stake.

Look for Skate Ontario luminaries like senior pair Brooke McIntosh and Benjamin Mimar, fresh off their Bronze medal performance at the recent ISU NHK Trophy Grand Prix event. The team is strong, and we are #SkateOntarioProud of each and every one of our skaters! Look out Canada, Team Ontario is poised to make their presence felt in every event in Winnipeg!

Follow the Skate Ontario social media channels to keep up with what’s going on behind the scenes as out very own @SkatingPj will be on hand to cover the action.

We want to remind everyone of the virtual LIVE event on Skate Ontario YouTube and Facebook pages, taking place on December 1 at 7pm ET to announce the launch of the Communiti App for coaches. We will be joined by Communiti Co-Founder Shashank BK and our insurance guru Brent Bradham from Gallagher who can answer all your questions. If you’re a coach and want to sign up – join the wait list here: https://forms.gle/UJrzxNXSfLaQj3ZJ8

Truth be told, we are as proud of our coaches as we are of our skaters. If you’re a coach and want to share one of your favourite #CommunitiCoachMoments – you can be entered into a random draw for a $100 e-gift card. We know you’re humble. We know you’re GREAT at what you do. We want the rest of the world to know the impact you have and the importance you play in your students’ lives on and off the ice. Leave your favourite coaching memory in the comments after the post announcing this initiative on your favourite Skate Ontario social platform.

We don’t call it a ‘Leader Board’ – we call it our ‘Skate Ontario Proud Board’ and look for us to post the results of all of our Skate Ontario athletes at the end of each day.

See you in and from Winnipeg!

Good Luck!

Your friends at Skate Ontario and Communiti
