Skate Ontario’s October Skater in Residence is a man who needs no introduction. Emanuel Sandhu is a three-time national champion, Grand Prix Final champion and two-time Olympian whose artistic skill sets him apart from many of the skaters around him.
Emanuel’s journey included training at The National Ballet School, where he graduated from high school, skating in Richmond Hill moving to and training in Vancouver and eventually two stints on So You Think You Can Dance Canada TV Show.
You can still find Emanuel at the rink working as a choreographer and in shows. Interestingly, his work as a show skater is often in shows featuring skating legend Evgeny Plushenko, who was once beaten by Sandhu on the way to his Grand Prix Final title.
Skate Ontario Skater in Residence fans will get the chance to hear from one of a kind Sandhu. It’s going to be epic.
Emanuel’s blogs will be posted on September 6 th and 20 th .
