One of the 2020-2021 Skater Awards goes to Hallee Nugent from the Northern Lights School of Skating!
Hallee skates at the STAR 6 level out of the Northern Lights School of Skating in Fort Frances and is very dedicated to the sport of figure skating. She continually is the first to participate in all sessions from on ice, off ice and virtual classes.
On top of being a hard worker, Hallee motivates her skating peers by encouraging them both on and off the ice. She also shares resources and program ideas to help the other STAR skaters at the club to help them develop their skills and foster their love for skating.
Hallee is also a dedicated PA for the learn to skate programs at her club. She is a leader and role model and many young start skaters and PAs look up to her. “ She is currently seeking opportunities to become a Skate Canada coach and will no doubt be a life long member and give back to the sport.”
