One of the 2020-2021 Skater Awards goes to Erin Ekker from the Blackstock Skating Club!
Erin is a STAR 2/3 skater out of the Blackstock SC.
As if dealing with a pandemic year isn’t difficult enough, this past year Erin has overcame obstacles and has been a strong leader in her skating community and stayed positive. Her passion for skating really shone through as she continued to skate with the Port Perry Skating Club when the Blackstock arena was shut down.
Erin’s mom was always a strong member of the Blackstock SC executive team and was unfortunately diagnosed with cancer this spring. She sadly lost her battle with cancer this year and Erin’s resiliency and love for skating remained.
