One of the 2020-2021 Skater Awards goes to Anthony MacDonald from the Char-Lan Skating Club!
Anthony’s dedication to skating really stood out during the pandemic where he had over an hour each way commute and skated 5 days a week. He skates in the Pre-Novice Dance category out of the Char-Lan Skating Club. “Not once did he let anything stand in the way of his desire to train harder and become a better skater and ice dance partner.”
Anthony displays excellent time management, is always punctual, hard-working, polite, persevering, encouraging, driven, an excellent listener, has a healthy lifestyle, and overall love and enthusiasm for the challenge that sport presents. He is an excellent role model on and off the ice all while maintaining his grades in all subject areas and recently received the top Science Fair award at school.
