Ontario pairs had a successful weekend at the 2012 Junior Grand Prix event in Lake Placid NY.  Margaret Purdy, of Strathroy Ont., and Michael Marinaro, of Sarnia Ont., won gold with a total of 144.72 points.  Fellow Ontarians Shalena Rau, of Waterloo Ont., and Phelan Simpson, of Kitchener Ont., earned 119.67 points and eighth place at their Junior Grand Prix debut.

Margaret & Michael will also compete at the 2012 JGP Croatia Cup in Zagreb, Croatia from October 4th to 6th.  Shalena and Phelan will compete at 2012 JGP Pokal der Blauen Schwerter in Chemnitz, Germany, October 11th to 13th.
