There is no doubt in anyone’s mind that Ontario ice dancers Piper Gilles and Paul Poirier are on to something special this season. Their free dance skated to a beautiful version of ‘Vincent’ is causing a stir throughout the skating world. Getting the chance to compete in a post Grand Prix series competition was just another way for these two talented skaters to get some more miles on this outstanding, artistic and wonderfully creative program.

In this video, Piper and Paul talk about how and why they think this program is connecting with not just the audience but the officials as well.

Their efforts are paying off with a gold medal in Zagreb to add to their earlier Grand Prix medal from the series. here is their ‘Vincent’ free dance from the Golden Spin of Zagreb:
