Well done to Mariposa School of Skating on their recent Performance Day.
Mariposa held their first Performance day a few weeks ago. Skaters, coaches, officials, and parents all had a positive day. Skaters from around the world participated in Mariposa School of Skating’s first Performance Day. From World Competitors to first time performers, Skate Canada Officials and Technical Specialists provided invaluable feedback for skater development.
“I don’t get to compete because of conflicts with my other activities. This felt like a real competition and it was fun to cheer on my friends” said one skater. Coaches loved being able to simulate a competition and receive the information about skaters programs as they move on to the Ontario Championships, Four Continents and Nationals for the International skaters.
The positive atmosphere was completed with a “Goals and Dreams” seminar provided by Ivivva. Skaters were able to focus on positive thinking, setting goals and feeling a sense of community.
