Congratulations to Patrick Chan, 2011 World Champion!

This year’s ISU World Figure Skating Championships took place in Moscow, Russia after being postponed from its original date due to the natural disasters in Japan.

Patrick won the men’s event with a decisive lead over his nearest competitors, winning by over 20 points and setting new World Records for short, free, and total scores.

Tessa Virtue & Scott Moir competed in their first full event of the season, after a long season of recovery from injury.  They won the Silver Medal after a close-fought battle with rivals and training mates, Meryl Davis & Charlie White.

Also in the dance event, Kaitlyn Weaver & Andrew Poje finished 5th and Vanessa Crone & Paul Poirier finished 10th.

Kirsten Moore-Towers and Dylan Moscovitch finished 8th in the pairs event.
