Skate Ontario is excited to announce and welcome three new additions to the Skate Ontario Team.
Denise Harris and Jarret Melanson are joining the Sport Department, and Harpreet Atwal is joining Communications and Branding.
Sport Department
Denise Harris
Denise will be assuming the role of Coordinator, Club Programs. Denise is from Woodville, Ontario (Kawartha Lakes) and is a graduate from the Sport Seneca Coaching Program. She has coached skating for 30 years at two clubs in the Kawartha Lakes. Skating and coaching have always been her passion, but she loves baseball too! Denise can be reached at [email protected].
Jarret Melanson
Jarret will be taking the role of Administrator, Sport Department, in which he will support the Sport Department and take any general inquiries. Jarret is a former competitive skater and performer with Disney On Ice before transitioning to coaching. He is also a 2021 Sport Management graduate from Humber College. Jarret began his skating career in Thunder Bay, Ontario and currently coaches North of the GTA in various clubs around Dufferin County. He is very excited to start his new role with Skate Ontario, and he can be reached at [email protected].
Communications and Branding
Harpreet Atwal
Harpreet will be assuming the role of Coordinator, Communications and Branding. Harpreet is from Mississauga, and she is a graduate from the Sheridan College Marketing Management Program. She has been in marketing for ten years, and is passionate about community volunteering, visual arts, yoga, and trying new sporting activities. She loves taking on a new challenges, and is excited to take on this new role with Skate Ontario. Harpreet can be reached at [email protected].
