To ensure consistent program quality and maintain national standards, CanSkate Excellence clubs must complete a CanSkate Excellence Recognition Renewal. Register for a webinar here.
Why This Matters:
- Promotes consistency and quality in CanSkate delivery across clubs in Ontario
- Helps coaches stay up-to-date and inspired in their instruction.
- Reinforces the value of the club’s recognition status while providing ongoing support.
| Implementation: •CanSkate Excellence Recognition Renewal Program Launches September 1, 2025. •Clubs will be notified via personal email in advance of their renewal date. •Refresher webinars will be offered regularly starting August 2025. •Clubs earning the Exceeded level of recognition will be awarded a CSE renewal gift as a Thank You for running a Best of Class CanSkate program. | Components of the Renewal: •Coach Refresher Webinar: Club coaches currently delivering CanSkate must attend the CanSkate Excellence Refresher webinar as part of the renewal process. •Club Visit & Evaluation: A CanSkate specialist will visit the club to observe sessions and ensure that the delivery continues to meet or exceed the standards set during the original recognition. Clubs will receive constructive and supportive feedback aimed at continuous improvement. •Support and Training: Clubs that may experience a change in their recognition level following re-assessment will be offered support and resources to help regain or maintain their standing in the program. |
