Congratulations to Marguerite Perin from Hearst, Ontario who is driving around in her brand new 2022 Nissan Kicks courtesy of our Champion Partner, Scarborough Nissan! Marguerite is the grand prize winner of the 2022 Ontario Skaters Promotional Contest. Thank you to the 85 clubs/skating schools who participated in this year’s contest, raising funds and creating awareness of figure skating in their community. Over 155,000 tickets were sold across the province! 

The winning ticket was sold in Hearst, a town in Northern Ontario, that is home to generations of skaters, including Marguerite’s family. Her enthusiasm for skating lives on in her boys, who played hockey all their life, and now her grandkids who are exploring their passion for figure skating at the Hearst Figure Skating Club.

For years Marguerite has cheered on her grandkids and made sure to buy tickets for the Ontario Promotional Contest from the Hearst Figure Skating Club. That consistency paid off big time. This is the first time in 70 years Marguerite has won something of this size, an SUV is pretty big, and we and all her friends are ecstatic for her.

Skate Ontario and the staff at our Champion Partner, Scarborough Nissan hope Marguerite enjoys her new ride and that the Hearst enthusiasm for skating will inspire the next generation of figure skaters.
