About KWSC

KWSC is Canada’s largest and most respected skating clubs, offering a wide range of programs from learn-to-skate to high-performance development. We are committed to fostering a positive culture of excellence where skaters of all ages and abilities can reach their full potential in figure skating. Our team is dedicated to creating a supportive, inclusive, and growth-oriented environment for both athletes and coaches.

Position Overview

KWSC is seeking a passionate and skilled coach to join our team in delivering high-quality STAR and Adult programming. This hybrid role allows for both independent contractor work (private lessons) and casual part-time employment (group sessions assigned by the Club). The successful candidate will contribute to a vibrant coaching team and have the opportunity to grow their own student base while supporting our current Base Coaches.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality technical instruction to STAR and Adult skaters.

  • Develop and implement individualized training plans to support skater development.

  • Foster a positive and encouraging learning environment where athletes can thrive.

  • Provide support coaching for our Base Coaches, assisting with their sessions while gradually building your own student base within the club.

  • Participate in club-led professional development opportunities to maintain a growth mindset and coaching excellence.

Availability Requirement

The successful candidate must be available to coach Monday to Thursday evenings, as well as Saturday afternoons and Sunday mornings, to support the needs of our STAR and Adult skater training schedule.

Collaborative Coaching Culture

At KWSC, we strive to foster a collaborative coaching and learning environment where all our coaches can lean on each other for scheduling support, technical guidance, and mentorship. We believe that a united coaching team creates the strongest foundation for athlete success.
