Job Description
Join Our Coaching Team for the 2025/2026 Season!
The Ripley- Huron Skating Club, a Skate Canada-sanctioned, volunteer-run
club, is currently seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Certified Regional, Power Skate and/or
Canskate Coaches for the 2025/2026 season and beyond. Based in Ripley, ON
our club operates out of the Ripley- Huron Community Centre and is
supported by a dedicated community of skaters, families, and volunteers who
are passionate about the sport.
We are proud to be recognized as a CanSkate Excellence Club – Exceeds
Standards, a distinction that reflects our commitment to delivering high-
quality programming and exceptional skating experiences.
About Us
We offer a range of high-quality programs including:
Pre-CanSkate
CanSkate
CanPowerSkate
StarSkate
Our regular season runs October to March, with approximately 8.5 hours of
weekly programming on Tuesdays & Thursdays, and with Friday
PowerSkating sessions.
We’re a small but passionate club that’s actively growing our program
offerings. Our team takes pride in providing a positive, skill-building
environment for skaters of all ages and stages.
The Opportunity
We are looking for enthusiastic, team-oriented coaches to join our staff.
Whether your passion is in teaching CanSkate, StarSkate, or Power Skating or
all—we’re open to flexible arrangements!
Coach CanSkate programs in alignment with Skate Canada’s CanSkate
Excellence standards
Collaborate effectively with fellow coaches and club volunteers
Provide consistent, dependable coverage throughout the skating
season
Encourage and support the development of all skaters in a fun, positive
environment
Qualifications
Certified (or actively working towards certification) as a Skate
Canada Canskate coach or Certified Regional Coach.
In good standing with Skate Canada
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Reliable, enthusiastic, and passionate about coaching children, teens,
and adults
Start date: November 2025 (flexible)
