The March-Kanata Skating Club (MKSC) is seeking Regional Coaches for the 2026/2027 season.

Established in 1974, MKSC, located in Kanata, Ontario, provides Skate Canada programming to a large, growing, passionate and supportive community that values teamwork and the joy of skating in the West end of Ottawa. We are honoured to have earned the Achieved Standard designation in the Skate Ontario CanSkate Excellence Program and is one of the largest in the National Capital Region. 

We proudly offer a variety of programming seven days per week that includes PreCanSkate, CanSkate, PreJunior, STARSkate, Teen and Adult CanSkate, Advanced Adult, and Adult STARSKate at the John G. Mlacak Arena.

Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Regional Coach (or higher) to join our coaching team and contribute to a growing club and make a significant impact on skaters of all levels and ages. You will play a key role in delivering engaging and high-quality Skate Canada programming.

Responsibilities

• Implement structured training programs in Skills, Dance, and Freeskate in alignment with Skate Canada’s STARSkate guidelines.
• Implement Skate Canada’s Learn-to-Skate programs in alignment with CanSkate Excellence guidelines.
• Collaborate with fellow coaches, the On-Ice CanSkate Director, the CanSkate Director and the STARSkate Director to support skater development.
• Maintain consistent and reliable coaching coverage throughout the season
