Job Description
Streetsville Meadowvale Figure Skating Club is located in Mississauga, we offer CanSkate, STARSkate and Adult Learn to Skate/Adult Figure Skating programs, at Meadowvale Four Rinks, just south of the 401 when exiting at the Mississauga Road exit.
We have StarSkate sessions on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday evenings as well as Saturday mornings and CanSkate on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings as well as Saturday mornings, Adult programs on Friday evenings.
We are currently looking for 2 full time StarSkate coaches and 1 full time/part time StarSkate/Dance coach, all must be qualified with Regional trained/certified status and CanSkate (trained/certified). All SMFSC coaches are required to teach on at least one of our CanSkate sessions. We are looking for coaches who are available to coach on Saturday mornings as well as evenings through the week.

Qualifications
Must be a Registered Skate Canada Coach (minimum CanSkate certified) for the current skating season. Must hold a “coach in good standing” status with Skate Canada for the current season.
• Must hold a valid first aid certificate
• Screening must be done through the company approved by Skate Canada. Following review of the results of this screening, the status must show as “Clear” in the Skate Canada profile of the coach.
• NCCP certified coaches must maintain a renewed NCCP certification status as per the Coaching Association of Canada’s (CAC) Maintenance of Certification Policy
• Have agreed to the Skate Canada Code of Ethics and completed Respect in Sport.
• A coach must be re-certified in this training every 3 years
• Minimum NCCP level required – Canskate Club Coach (certified). Hourly rate will commensurate with experience. www.smfsc.ca
