Char-Lan Skating Club is seeking an experienced and dedicated Regional Coach to join our team. As a STARskate coach, you will play a pivotal role in the development and success of our  skaters. You will provide expert coaching, guidance, and support to skaters across various skill levels, with a specific focus on team coaching. If you are a passionate and skilled coach with a strong background in figure skating and team coaching, we invite you to apply for this exciting opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Provide high-level coaching to  skaters across different age groups and skill levels.
• Collaborate with other coaches to create cohesive training strategies and ensure consistent coaching methods and techniques.
• Conduct on-ice and off-ice training sessions, including jumps, spins, footwork, choreography, and conditioning exercises.
• Analyze and assess skaters’ performances, providing constructive feedback and personalized coaching to enhance their skills and address areas for improvement.
• Develop and maintain effective communication with skaters, parents, and board members regarding training schedules, competition plans, and progress updates.
• Attend and provide coaching support during competitions.
• Stay updated with the latest updates from Skate Canada.
