Watford Skating Club located in Watford, Ontario is a continually growing club that has a very sought after Canskate program and growing Star/Competitive skate programs training year-round. We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated coach with strong communication skills who is excited about teaching all levels and abilities to assist with StarSkate sessions and potentially the position of Head Coach with our Club.
The successful candidate should be available to provide coaching coverage PreCanSkate and CanSkate through to all levels of STARSkate. Programs run Monday to Saturday including general sessions and private ice for competitive skaters. Must be accredited and able/available to attend competitions to minimum Regional level as required.
Also seeking the same or other individual that is CanPower certified as we do run programming for the local hockey community as well.
Qualifications
The Applicant must:
- be a Skate Canada Certified NCCP Regional Coach in Training or Certified Regional Coach, meeting all current Skate Canada requirements
- be well versed in Skills, Dance and Freeskate – bonus if able to teach CanPower, skills and edges but not required
- be an excellent communicator
- be reliable and committed
- enjoy working with children, teens and adults
- be in good standing with Skate Canada
