Job Description
The Markham Skating Club is seeking qualified Regional coaches to expand our StarSkate coaching team for the upcoming 2025/26 season. MSC operates out of the Markham Village Arena at Markham Road and Highway 7. We run programs 6 days per week – weekday evenings and Saturday mornings. We have skaters ranging from Star 1 – Gold as well as some working on Diamond dances.
This position involves coaching group lessons on our various StarSkate and CanSkate sessions as well as offering Private lessons to our skaters as requested.
Successful candidates will be highly motivated and willing to work within a team environment and will provide a safe and fun environment for our skaters and their families.
Qualifications
StarSkate Coach Qualifications:
- Skate Canada Professional Regional Coach In-training or higher
- A minimum of 3 years of coaching at the StarSkate level
- Must be in good standing with Skate Canada
- Must be a registered coach with Skate Canada for the 2025/2026 season
- Valid First Aid Certificate
