The Drayton & District Figure Skating Club (DDFSC) is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Regional Coach to join our coaching team for the 2026 to 2027 skating season.Located in the heart of Wellington County, DDFSC has proudly served our community for over 50 years. We offer quality programming from PreCanSkate through STAR Gold, providing skaters of all ages and abilities with opportunities to develop their skills in a positive, supportive, and athlete centred environment.DDFSC is a progressive, community focused skating club dedicated to excellence in coaching, athlete development, and creating exceptional experiences for our members. As a Skate Canada CanSkate Excellence Delivery Club, we are committed to delivering outstanding Learn to Skate programming while building strong technical foundations for lifelong participation in skating. Beyond our weekly programming, we are recognized for producing an annual themed ice production that goes far beyond the traditional skating carnival, creating an unforgettable experience for our skaters, coaches, families, and community.We are committed to coach collaboration, athlete development, and fostering a culture where coaches are encouraged to bring creativity, innovation, and passion to the ice every day.Flexible coaching assignments are available, with opportunities to coach one, two, or all three skating days.

About the Role

The successful candidate will:

• Deliver engaging, high quality coaching within our PreCanSkate, CanSkate, and STARSkate programs.
• Coach skaters from PreCanSkate through STAR Gold.
• Plan and deliver lessons aligned with Skate Canada standards and Long Term Development principles.
• Support skaters participating in assessments, competitions, showcases, special events, and our annual production.
• Collaborate with fellow coaches, Program Assistants, and the Board of Directors.
• Foster a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment.
• Build strong, professional relationships with skaters and their families.
• Contribute to the continued growth and success of DDFSC.

Our Programs

DDFSC offers programming Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday evenings, serving skaters from PreCanSkate through STAR Gold.

Tuesday

• 4:00 to 5:10 p.m. Intermediate
• 5:10 to 5:15 p.m. CanSkate Setup
• 5:15 to 5:45 p.m. PreCanSkate
• 5:45 to 6:30 p.m. CanSkate
• 6:30 to 6:40 p.m. Flood
• 6:40 to 7:50 p.m. Senior

Thursday

• 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. Pre Junior
• 4:45 to 5:45 p.m. Junior
• 5:45 to 6:30 p.m. CanSkate
• 6:30 to 6:40 p.m. Flood
• 6:40 to 7:50 p.m. Senior

Friday

• 4:00 to 4:50 p.m. Pre Junior
• 4:50 to 5:50 p.m. Junior
• 5:50 to 6:50 p.m. IntermediateCoaching assignments will be determined based on qualifications, experience, and club needs.

• Position: Regional Coach, Contract
• Location: PMD Arena, Drayton, Ontario
• Start Date: September 2026
• Schedule: Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday evenings
• Competitive compensation based on qualifications and experience.
