Join Our Team for the 2025/2026 Season!
The Hillsburgh Erin Skating Club, a vibrant, volunteer-run Skate Canada-sanctioned club, is excited to welcome a STARSkate Coach for the upcoming 2025/2026 season! Located in Erin, Ontario, and operating out of the Hillsburgh and Erin Arenas, our club thrives on a passion for skating, fostering a strong community of skaters across all ages and skill levels.
About Us
We proudly offer a variety of skating programs, including Parent & Tot, Pre-CanSkate, CanSkate, PowerSkate, and STARSkate. We run programming 4 times a week: Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturdays and our sessions run from September to May. We are honored to have earned the Exceeded Standard designation in the Skate Ontario CanSkate Excellence Program and the Achieved Standard in the STAR 1-5 Excellence Program.
The Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated STARSkate Coach (certified or in training) to join our collaborative coaching team. You will play a vital role in developing skaters at all levels, providing comprehensive coaching in Skills, Dance, and Freeskate. Our club embraces a team coaching format, offering many group lessons within the STARSkate program.
Ideally, the candidate will be available to coach on Monday evenings, with the possibility of joining other sessions throughout the week.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement structured training programs in Skills, Dance and Freeskate.
- Collaborate with fellow coaches and the Club President to enhance skater development.
- Maintain consistent and reliable coaching coverage throughout the season.
Qualifications
Qualifications
· Certification as a Skate Canada NCCP Regional or Provincial Coach, fulfilling all current requirements.
· Outstanding communication skills.
· A reliable and committed work ethic.
· A passion for working with children, teens, and adults.
· Must be in good standing with Skate Canada.
