Job Description
The Tavistock Skating Club offers CanSkate and StarSkate programs, with a youth membership of approximately 125 skaters. Many of our skaters, along with additional skaters, participate in our expanding synchro program, skating under Team Unity name and representing the Tavistock & District Skating Club.
We are actively seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic STARSkate coach (minimum Regional Coach Certified) to join our team for the upcoming 2024/2025 season. Our STARSkate sessions run from September to April on Tuesdays and Sundays.
Must be willing to coach club group lessons as well as offering private / semi-private lessons to our skaters.
Qualifications
- Skate Canada Certified NCCP Regional or Provincial coach
- Registered coach in good standing with Skate Canada, and have agreed to the Skate Canada Code of Ethics
Additional Responsibilities:
- Support skaters at test days and competitions, including travel
- Help plan and organize annual club events (shows, performance days etc.) with other coaches and board members
Compensation is commensurate with experience, personal skating achievement, and certification level.
