Job Description
The Lindsay Skating Club is seeking a Club Administrator to support the administration and operation of all club programs. This essential role works collaboratively with the CanSkate Coordinator, StarSkate Coordinator, coaches, and Board of Directors to ensure the effective delivery of Club programming. The Club Administrator is responsible for managing registrations, communications, and administrative processes that support day-to-day club operations and contribute to a positive experience for skaters and their families. Through strong organizational and communication skills, the Club Administrator helps ensure the smooth and successful operation of all club programs.
Job Type: Independent Contract
Contract Term: September 2026 – August 2027 (with potential renewal)
Compensation: $300 per month
Schedule: Flexible hours. Approximately 4–8 hours per week, with increased workload during registration periods and club events.
Key Responsibilities:

Coordinate registration and scheduling for CanSkate and StarSkate programs;

Work with the CanSkate Coordinator, StarSkate Coordinator, coaches, and Board to determine ice requirements and program schedule needs;

Set up and maintain online program registrations, schedules, and event registrations through Uplifter;

Provide administrative support for assessments, competitions, club events, and other programming activities;

Manage communications with club membership regarding important dates, events, and program updates;

Respond to membership inquiries and emails in a timely and professional manner;

Maintain and update the club website, social media, and communication boards;

Support compliance with Skate Canada, Skate Ontario, and club administrative requirements;

Provide monthly reports to the Board of Directors;

Help ensure smooth and efficient club operations across all programs;

Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Basic knowledge of figure skating and Skate Canada programming;

Excellent communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills;

Strong organizational, administrative, and time-management skills;

Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment with coaches, board members, volunteers, and members;

Proficiency with email communication, Google Drive, Microsoft Software (Word, Excel) and Uplifter;

Demonstrated initiative, leadership, and problem-solving skills;

Experience in administration, customer service, or sport organizations is considered an asset.
