Job Description
Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Process bi-weekly payroll and monthly reports.
- Administer the Club’s registration and financial information within the Amilia platform.
- Prepare and manage customer and skater account statements.
- Manage and maintain Club inventory records and needs.
- Complete banking activities, including deposits and monthly bank reconciliations.
- Coordinate the annual financial audit and serve as the primary liaison with the external auditor.
- Maintain accurate financial records in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), Club policies, and applicable legislation.
- Provide additional administrative support to the Club as required.
Qualifications
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience using QuickBooks (required).
- Experience using the Amilia platform or comparable is considered an asset.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Professional proficiency in English is required; French is considered an asset.
- Strong analytical skills and experience performing account reconciliations.
- Experience with artificial intelligence (AI) and analytics is considered an asset.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving abilities.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- The ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- A proactive approach with the ability to see projects through to completion.
- Experience working with volunteers and volunteer-led organizations.
- Experience in a not-for-profit organization is considered an asset.
Familiarity with City of Ottawa procedures is considered an asset.
