The Huntsville Skating Club is seeking an enthusiastic and qualified CanSkate Coach to deliver Skate Canada’s learn-to/skate program. This role involves fostering a fun, engaging, and safe learning environment while providing high-quality instruction to skaters of all ages and abilities.

The coach will play an important role in helping skaters build confidence, achieve personal milestones, and progress at their own pace A passion for coaching, a commitment to athlete development, and a dedication to creating a positive, inclusive, and supportive on-ice experience are essential to the role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach fundamental skating skills: balance, control, and agility 
• Lead group lessons that emphasize movement, participation, and fun using circuits, music, and teaching aids
• Track progress through Skate Canada stages and badges
• Work collaboratively with program assistants
• Ensure a positive and inclusive environment for all participants
