Job Description
The Markham Skating Club is seeking qualified candidates to expand our CanSkate coaching team for the upcoming 2024/2025 season. Our Club operates a range of programs including Pre-CanSkate, CanSkate, StarSkate and Power skating. We operate out of the Markham Village arena at Markham Rd. and Highway 7. Our programs are run programs 6 days per week — weekday evenings and Saturday mornings.
We are seeking highly motivated individuals to Coach group lessons for CanSkate and Pre-CanSkate programs as well as evaluating skaters and completing Report Cards.
Successful candidates will be highly motivated and willing to work within a team environment and will provide a safe and fun environment for our skaters and their families.
Qualifications
CanSkate Coach Qualifications

Skate Canada CanSkate Coach In-training or higher
·
Must be in good standing with Skate Canada
·
Must be a registered coach with Skate Canada for the 2024/2025 season
·
Valid First Aid Certificate
· Strong communication skills
· Desire to work with children and to encourage their love of skating
