Job Description
The Georgetown Skating Club is seeking Canskate Coach(es) to join our team for the Fall & Winter 2026-2027 Season and beyond.
GSC currently offers Canskate sessions, Monday, Tuesday Wednesday and Thursday evenings and Saturday mornings, October to March at the Mold Masters Arena in Georgetown, and Acton Arena Ontario.
GSC is also seeking Canskate Coach(es) for our Adaptive Canskate on Friday evenings at Acton Area.
GSC has been offering skating programs to Georgetown and area skaters for over 65 years, from beginner to elite competitive skaters.
We are looking for an individual who embraces a positive team coaching environment, working enthusiastically towards the development of our young skaters, and contributing to the growth of the Club.
The successful candidate must be willing to work in a collaborative team environment working closely with our Coaches and Board of Directors.
Qualifications
Qualifications to be met by September 1, 2026
- CanSkateTraining status or higher
- To be a Registered Skate Canada Professional Coach in Good Standing:
- Must hold a valid First Aid Certificate
- Maintain a renewed NCCP certification status as per the Coaching Association of Canada’s (CAC) Maintenance of Certification Policy
- Have agreed to the Skate Canada Code of Ethics
- Complete the Respect in Sport Activity Leader Training
- Complete Back Check (18 years and older)
