Skate Ontario is thrilled that 7 incredible athletes have been selected to represent Canada at the 2025 Four Continents Figure Skating Championships in Seoul, South Korea this week. This event, which will run from February 19 to February 23, 2025, is the final major event ahead of March’s World Championships in Boston.
Madeline Schizas
In the women’s event, Olympian Madeline Schizas will take the ice following her win at the 2025 Canadian National Skating Championships earlier this year. She will be joined by Katherine Medland-Spence, 2024 Warsaw Cup gold medalist, who is competing at her first Four Continents Championships.
Roman Sadovsky, 2025 Canadian Champion and 2024 Tallinn Trophy bronze medalist, will be competing in the men’s event.

National silver medalists Lia Pereira and Trennt Michaud, who also brought home the bronze medal at the 2024 Cup of China, will compete in the Pairs event.
Four Continent’s reigning gold medalists and four-time national medalists Piper Gilles and Paul Poirier are looking to defend their title in the Ice Dance event.
