Event Updates
Skate Ontario is once again piloting Bring on the Fun in April (with one date in May) with partner host clubs. Dates and locations will be available very soon however, here are some details about Bring on the Fun :
Bring ON the Fun (BOTF) is a pilot event series. The intent of this series is to provide a team-based, fun opportunity for skaters and clubs to participate in a variety of categories and contests that foster team spirit and comradery. All participants will receive handwritten feedback and ribbons for all categories, and awards/recognition for Skills Contests and the Best Of Contests.
Categories and skills contests are open to 3 different assessment levels:
- STAR 1 & STAR 2
- STAR 3 & STAR 4
- STAR 5 +
Skaters are expected to skate to their ability and enter the appropriate category level based on the requirements outlined in each category. For example, skaters who entered STAR 1-4 Series events in STAR 1 or STAR 2 should register for the STAR 1 & 2 categories, skaters who entered STAR 1-4 Series events in STAR 3 or STAR 4 should register for the STAR 3 & 4 categories. Skaters who have passed a STAR 5 free skate assessment should register for the STAR 5 + categories.

*Contest Update*: Longest Spiral, Longest One-Foot Glide, and Longest One-Foot Sit Glide contests will be timed events. Skaters will be timed once they have hit the position and timed until they are no longer in the position.
