Skate Ontario is pleased to announce that four new dedicated individuals have joined our team:

Nina Cattle: Coordinator, Provincial Programs

Nina brings more than a decade of coaching experience and a strong background in athlete development to her role with Skate Ontario. A Skate Canada Certified Regional Coach, she has coached at Richmond Training Centre since 2015 and has worked with athletes across a variety of stages in their skating journey. Currently a PhD candidate in Kinesiology and Physical Education at the University of Toronto, Nina’s research focuses on talent development and the use of data in sport. She has published research in these areas and brings valuable expertise in long-term athlete development, performance pathways, and the systems that support athletes and coaches.

In her role, Nina supports provincial programming with a focus on STAR 6-Gold and Active for Life opportunities. She serves as a key resource for coaches and athletes in STAR programming, supports coaches through the NCCP certification pathway, and helps oversee the databases and operational systems that support program delivery across the province. We’re excited to have Nina’s unique combination of coaching experience, research expertise, and passion for athlete development supporting our coaches, athletes, and clubs across Ontario.

Natasha Croucher: Administrator, Events & Officials

Natasha is a recent graduate of the University of Waterloo, where she completed a Bachelor of Arts in Public Health with a minor in Tourism. Through Waterloo’s co-op program, Natasha gained experience in a variety of sport and recreation environments, giving her a great foundation for this role and for the work of our Events & Officials team. Most recently, Natasha worked with Athletics & Recreation at the University of Waterloo as Facility Staff, supporting varsity game days, recreational programming, external rentals and day-to-day facility operations and customer service.

She has also worked as a Recreational Sport Student Program Coordinator, where she supported the delivery of intramural leagues and coordinated with facility managers, referees and staff. In addition, Natasha spent several semesters as a Teaching Assistant, supporting professors with course administration, marking and student communication. We’re excited about the mix of sport, recreation, coordination and customer service experience Natasha brings to the team.

Meaghan Churchill: Coordinator, Digital Productions

Drawing on her background in communications, digital storytelling, and live sport broadcasting, Meaghan Churchill brings a unique combination of technical production expertise, strong stakeholder communication skills, and a passion for figure skating to the role of Coordinator, Digital Productions. Through her work with the Toronto Military Family Resource Centre, she has developed experience managing digital content, multimedia production, event support, and stakeholder engagement, while her ongoing role with the Skate Ontario Digital Broadcast Team has provided hands-on experience with live broadcasts, script preparation, on-camera hosting, and operating and troubleshooting production software. Her ability to adapt in fast-paced environments, solve problems under pressure, and build positive relationships aligns strongly with the needs of the position.

In this role, Meaghan will support the planning and execution of Skate Ontario’s digital productions by coordinating broadcast logistics, operating and maintaining production equipment, troubleshooting technical issues during live events, coordinating schedules and documentation, supporting stakeholders and broadcast team members, and contributing to the continuous improvement of digital production processes and delivery across the province.

Arnav Patel: Administrator, Digital Productions and Events

Arnav Patel brings experience in sport administration, event operations, and stakeholder coordination, with a strong track record of supporting large-scale sporting events. Through his work with Ontario Soccer and AFC Toronto, he has developed expertise in registration systems, operational planning, process improvement, database management, and stakeholder support. As Administrator, Digital Productions and Events, Arnav will help deliver Skate Ontario’s digital productions and events by supporting registration and scheduling processes, stakeholder communications, travel logistics, records management, equipment tracking, expense administration, and the execution of broadcasts and events across the province.
