Job Description
The Lindsay Skating Club is seeking a StarSkate Coordinator to oversee the delivery and ongoing development of our StarSkate program. Centered on Skills, Assessments, Achievement, and Recognition, the program is delivered through a modernized team-coaching model that supports skater progression and provides a positive, high-quality experience for athletes at all stages of development.
Job Type: Part-time, Seasonal Contract
Contract Term: September 2026 – March 2027 (with potential renewal)
Compensation: $500 per month
Schedule: Evening and weekends required. Approximately 6-12 hours per week (depending on registration and season).
Key Responsibilities:

Coordinate StarSkate sessions, schedules, and ice usage;

Support the club’s team-coaching model, ensuring skaters receive consistent, high-quality feedback;

Liaise with skaters, families, and coaches;

Organize Skate Canada assessments, competitions, and club events;

Support implementation of on-ice and off-ice physical literacy programming;

Monitor program quality and skater progression;

Help maintain a positive, athlete-focused training environment.
Qualifications

Skate Canada NCCP certification (Regional Certified or higher);

Previous coach leadership or skating administration experience preferred;

Excellent organizational and communication skills;

Experience with email communication, Google Drive, Microsoft Software (Word, Excel) and Uplifter;

In good standing with Skate Canada;

Strong knowledge of StarSkate disciplines (Skills, Dance, Freeskate);

Skate Canada background preferred.
