Job Description
The Lindsay Skating Club is seeking a CanSkate Coordinator to lead and oversee the delivery of our CanSkate program, Canada’s leading Learn-to-Skate program. Focused on developing balance, control, and agility, CanSkate provides skaters with the fundamental skills needed for success in all ice sports. The CanSkate Coordinator is responsible for ensuring all sessions are delivered in accordance with Skate Canada standards while creating a fun, active, engaging, and motivating environment for participants. This role plays a key part in fostering a positive skating experience and supporting skater development through high-quality program delivery.
Job Type: Part-time, Seasonal Contract
Contract Term: September 2026 – March 2027 (with potential renewal)
Compensation: $300 per month
Schedule: Evening and weekends required. Approximately 5-10 hours per week (depending on registration and season).
Key Responsibilities:

Plan and oversee all CanSkate sessions;

Schedule and coordinate coaches and program assistants;

Ensure fun, high-energy delivery using circuits, music, and teaching aids;

Track skater progress through badges and stages;

Communicate with families (parents and guardians);

Support a welcoming and inclusive program environment.
Qualifications

Skate Canada NCCP certification (Regional Trained or higher);

Knowledge of Skate Canada CanSkate program and delivery;

Experience in program coordination or coaching;

Strong leadership, communication and organizational skills;

Experience with email communication, Google Drive, Microsoft Software (Word, Excel) and Uplifter.

In good standing with Skate Canada.
