The Minden Skating Club is a welcoming and community-focused organization dedicated to developing skaters of all ages and abilities. We offer a range of programs from CanSkate to StarSkate, with a strong emphasis on skill development, sportsmanship, and a love for skating.

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic StarSkate Coach to join our coaching team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality coaching to skaters in the StarSkate program, helping athletes progress through Skate Canada assessments and achieve their personal goals.

We currently skate Monday, Wednesday and Friday nights and are looking for a someone to coach anywhere from 1 – 3 nights per week.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work collaboratively with coaches, board members, and parents
• Plan and deliver engaging and effective StarSkate sessions that align with Skate Canada’s STARskate guidelines
• Provide group, private and semi-private lessons to skaters
• Prepare skaters for tests, competitions, performances and assist with assessments
• Maintain a positive, inclusive, and safe training environment
• Assist with additional club events as needed
