Job Description
CANSKATE COACH
We are seeking enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join our CanSkate coaching team immediately.
We are seeking coaches for the following days/times/locations:
Phil White Arena – Toronto, ON
Sunday 10:00 am – 11:00 am
Sunday 11:00 am – 12:00 pm
Larry Grossman Arena – Toronto, ON
Sunday 4:15 pm – 5:15 pm
Tuesday 6:15 pm – 7:15 pm
Wednesday 5:15 pm – 6:15 pm
Thursday 4:15 pm – 5:15 pm
Saturday 2:15 pm – 3:15 pm
Key Responsibilities

Work with our dedicated team of coaches to deliver high quality lessons that align with Skate Canada’s CanSkate Excellence program
-
Provide engaging and clear instruction with encouraging feedback and appropriate corrections to skaters of various ages and abilities
-
Collaborate with coaches, program assistants and club management to ensure delivery of a quality program
-
Assess skaters and track their progress, identifying those ready to transition to other club programs
-
Communicate with CanSkate Head coaches and CanSkate Director as required

Represent the Forest Hill Figure Skating club with professionalism and integrity
Qualifications
-
Minimum NCCP CanSkate Coach In–Training or higher
-
Registered Skate Canada Professional Coach In Good Standing
-
Strong knowledge and understanding of the CanSkate Excellence program
-
Reliable, punctual, proactive and collaborative
-
Experience working with children and youth in an instructional capacity is an asset
