With the upcoming event season fast approaching, Skate Ontario would like to share the following message regarding our approach to live streaming this season with our valued audience:

Starting in the 2025-26 season, skaters and their families will no longer have to pay a live streaming development fee each time they register to participate in an event. To truly support our athletes, a new subscription model for accessing digital broadcasting of events is being implemented with the new season.

With the introduction of the new subscription model, the additional live streaming development fee collected as part of event registrations will be eliminated effective immediately. 

The adjustment comes after extensive discussions and valuable feedback from our community, and we are proud to introduce this initiative that promises to enhance your viewing experience.

Two Flexible Subscription Options will be available: 

• Full Year Subscription: Enjoy all-access live and on-demand content for just $40.00+HST CAD.
• Per Event Subscription: Pay $20.00+HST CAD for the marquee events you want to watch live and $9.00+HST CAD for the tier 2 events you want to watch live.

This new model reflects our commitment to delivering high-quality, uninterrupted access to Skate Ontario events. This approach will bring greater convenience and accessibility to skater families and friends as well as our dedicated fans.

Marquee Events (Skate Ontario Championship Events)

• November 6-9, 2025 – Jr/Sr Sectionals – Rockland
• December 4-7, 2025 – Pre-Novice/Novice Sectionals – Wasaga Beach
• January 23-25, 2026 – Synchro Series January – Kingston
• February 27-March 1 – Adult Provincial Championships – Kanata
• March 20-22, 2026 – Skate Ontario Provincial Championships

Tier 2 events

• August 15-17, 2025 – Sectional Series – KW
• October 16-19, 2025 – Sectionals Series – Barrie
• December 4-7, 2025 – Synchro Series December – Woodstock
• January 9-11, 2026 – Provincial Series – Sault Ste. Marie
• February 6-8, 2026 – Synchro Series February – Oakville
• February 6-8, 2026 – Provincial Series – Brampton
• March 6-8, 2026 – Provincial Series – Thunder Bay
