A team of seven junior Team Ontario athletes will join the Skate Canada delegation heading to Debrecen, Hungary this week to compete in the 2025 ISU World Junior Figure Skating Championships.

From February 25 to March 2, these athletes will compete in the men’s, women’s and pairs disciplines.

In the men’s event, current junior men’s national champion David Bondar will make his World Junior Championships debut.

In the pairs event, Ava Kemp and Yohnatan Elizarov, who are currently ranked second in the world, will enter the competition following winning gold at three consecutive competitions.

Also competing in the pairs competition are Jazmine Desrochers and Kieran Thrasher, the 2024 ISU Junior Grand Prix Final bronze medalists.

In the women’s event, 2024 national junior champion Lulu Lin return to the ice for her second junior worlds following an injury earlier this season.

She will be joined by Kara Yun, who is making her junior worlds debut after receiving the senior women’s bronze medal at the 2024-2025 Skate Canada Challenge.
