For clarity regarding the requirements to attend NCCP coaching courses, as well as to coach on CanSkate and StarSkate sessions, please read the note below:

NCCP Coaching Course Requirements 

• All coaches attending an NCCP CanSkate Coaching Course must be 15 years of age by the date of the in-person course.  
• Once coaches complete the In-Person NCCP CanSkate Coaching Course, they are eligible to coach the CanSkate Program only. Coaches who have completed only the NCCP CanSkate Coaching Course are not eligible to coach any STARskate programming.  
•  If you are a coach who is opting to complete the Hybrid Portfolio, you must have attended the In-Person NCCP CanSkate Coaching Course to register and attend the NCCP Regional Coaching Course. You are not required to be CanSkate Certified, but you must have attended the CanSkate Course. 
• Coaches are only eligible to coach any STARskate programming once they have completed the In-Person NCCP Regional Coaching Course regardless of if you are doing the Hybrid Portfolio or not.
