2021 Ontario Skaters Promotional Contest

Calling all skating clubs and skating schools!

With 2020 finally behind us and as we look ahead to a much better year in 2021, we want to remind you there is still time to participate in the 2021 Ontario Skaters Promotional Contest!

Don’t miss out on this great opportunity to fundraise for your club. Fundraising is an essential part of a club’s/school’s activities. Money raised can assist your skaters and club in many ways and can directly assist to off-set ice costs and fees. Here is a look at what the top 3 selling clubs were able to raise by participating in the 2020 contest:

  • Skate Oakville sold 550 booklets = $12,100 raised
  • Ilderton SC sold 430 booklets = $9,460 raised
  • Scarboro FSC sold 425 booklets = $9,350 raised

With regular operations being limited this season, now is the perfect year to dedicate more time and focus on fundraising for next year. Not currently doing registration? Not a problem! Here is an example of how clubs can participate and raise funds with no upfront, out of pocket cost:

  1. Place your order for booklets with Skate Ontario
  2. Advertise the sale of booklets on the club’s/school’s website or social media channels (this can open up the contest to more than just your members!)
  3. Collect booklet payment via e-transfer or cheque
  4. Clubs/schools will record the purchasers information on ticket stubs for entry into the draw (this portion is sent to Skate Ontario)
  5. Clubs/schools will detach the portion of the ticket meant for purchaser and arrange for the delivery of ticket to purchaser (either pick-up by or sent via mail to the purchaser)
  6. Return all ticket stubs and unsold booklets to Skate Ontario by May 28, 2021
