This year’s Skate Ontario Section Spirit Award goes to Daniel Vorobyov from the Gloucester SC. Daniel started out in the CanSkate program five years ago, and after lots of hard work and perseverance has worked his way up to the STARSkate program.  His positive attitude and willingness to learn has helped him to improve on the ice over the years.

He shows up to the rink full of energy with a big smile on his face. He always gives the best high fives to his peers and coaches when he accomplishes a new element. He teaches others around him that anything is possible and has become more independent on the ice trying out new skills.

Coach Jodie Bierko mentions “I have had the pleasure of working with Daniel from the first time he stepped on the ice in CanSkate to helping him transition into our StarSkate program. What Daniel has accomplished on the ice in the 5 years he began skating is nothing short of amazing.”
