It is with deep sorrow that we announce that long time coach Cynthia Reid from Ottawa (the Nepean Skating Club) has recently passed away. Not only was she a long time coach, she had Canadian Champion Janet Morrissey as one of her students and was an active volunteer with all competitions held in the Ottawa area. She came from a skating family with her niece being Susanna Driano, a world medalist who represented Italy. Cynthia was a constant fixture in the rink for over 40 years and will be dearly missed by the Ottawa skating community.
