One of the 2020-2021 Skater Awards goes to Leah Chan from the Sapling Skating School!
Leah skates at a STAR 2 level out of the Sapling Skating School and has improved tremendously throughout the pandemic. She thrived during the school’s online off ice programming this year. She has managed to learn all single jumps off the ice and is now working on her doubles!
At the arena, she is always on time with a positive attitude and very committed to skating. “During on-ice programming, Leah is a very hard worker who always engages with her peers, from a distance, with the hopes of helping their development as well as her own. Her positive energy is always appreciated by her coaches and all those around her.”
She demonstrates a constant dedication to practicing skating, flexibility to constant changes and an overall passion for the sport of skating.
