Skate Ontario Job Opportunity – Coordinator, Club Programs

Job title: Coordinator, Clubs Programs
Reports to: Manager, Club Programs
Term: Permanent, full-time


Job Purpose

The Coordinator, Club Programs is a member of the Skate Ontario sport department responsible for programming at the Fundamentals and Learn to Train stages of development including the coordination of planning and logistics, execution, communication and monitoring for all programming directed to clubs and schools. As a member of the sport team, the Coordinator is responsible for providing a consistent and best in class approach to all sport programs for Ontario.


Duties and Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and support the delivery of programming and development opportunities in the following program areas:
    • CanSkate including CanSkate Excellence
    • CanPowerSkate
    • STAR 1-5
    • Special Olympics
  • Coordinate, support and execute communications with clubs/skating schools
  • Manage day-to-day communications with member clubs and skating schools directly related to development programs
  • Utilize online software programs and tools to support the execution of high-quality sport programs
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with all internal and external stakeholders
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Experience

Qualifications include:

  • 2+ years experience in skating development
  • Experience in organizational support at a skating club, section or national level
  • Experience in working within established budgets and tracking expenses
  • Experience with coordinating and executing administrative support in an organization

Working Conditions
  • Hybrid office and home-based work environment
  • Travel will be required at different times of the year
  • Extended hours on evenings and weekends will be required at times to meet the needs of the business
  • Must have use of a vehicle and a valid driver’s license
  • All employees must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19
