Job Description

Director of Operations, Nepean Skating Club 

The Nepean Skating Club (NSC) is seeking a full time Director of Operations. The Nepean Skating Club, located in Ottawa, is a non-profit organization founded in 1965. It offers skating lessons for all ages and skill levels and has successfully trained skaters at all levels, including national and international champions. The growing club consists of approximately 120 Star and Podium Pathway skaters and 700 CanSkate participants. 

Responsibilities 

Under the guidance and direction of the NSC Board of Directors, the Director of Operations will: 

  • Oversee the development and delivery of all NSC programs  

  • Manage a coaching team, including recruitment, professional development and performance reviews 

  • Develop and manage an annual plan for all skating programs and events  

  • Develop and manage schedules and oversee skater development for Star and Podium Pathway programs 

  • Remain current on rules and technical requirements for all Skate Canada disciplines  

  • Manage and execute the NSC annual budget 

  • Oversee all NSC communications 

  • Work with the coaches, coordinators and volunteers to further the goals of the NSC 

  • Supervise one fulltime office manager
