When asked what makes their CanSkate session great, the Gananoque Skating club said it was all thanks to their dynamic and growing team.
Located in a small town of 5100 people, the Gananoque Skating club has more than doubled their CanSkate registration over the past year. A huge boost of 35 new skaters have joined their CanSkate program this season.
As a result, CanSkate coach Zach Freeman has joined long-time coach Janice MacDonald. Together, with several high school program assistants, this team works to keep the program dynamic, growing and fresh.
In addition to the on-ice leadership, the Gananoque Skating club has welcomed an enthusiastic new team of board members who have implemented unique and ongoing fundraisers. This has allowed the club to keep registration costs manageable for current and new skaters, as well as, add more excitement to the CanSkate session.
The “team” is a key part to CanSkate success for the Gananoque Skating Club.
The Gananoque Skating Club has achieved Advanced Standard in the CanSkate Excellence recognition program.
