Pre-Juvenile/Juvenile Development Series – Training & Monitoring Day

Welcome to the Pre-Juvenile/Juvenile Development Series. This series has been created to offer Performance & Development Opportunities (PDOs) to all Ontario skaters at the Pre-Juvenile & Juvenile levels.

The first set of sessions includes on-ice monitoring and off-ice development opportunities. The purpose of the training and monitoring day is to provide an opportunity for skaters to come together in a training environment and to receive feedback from officials.

Dates:
  • October 19, 2021 – Nepean Sportsplex
  • October 20, 2021 – CAA Brampton
  • October 21, 2021 – East Elgin Community Complex

Times: Tentatively between 9:00am and 4:00pm. Exact times to be determined once we have confirmed registration numbers.

Training & Monitoring Day Details:
  • On-ice program simulation session for skaters
  • Monitoring with Judges and Technical Officials
  • Off-ice sessions with guest facilitators
  • Skaters will be responsible for their own lunch and snacks

Fee: $50

*Coaches are welcome and encouraged to attend the on-ice sessions.

Opportunities Series – Fall Development Day

Welcome to the Skate Ontario Opportunities Series! This series is geared to all STARSkaters in Ontario. Throughout the season, the series will offer Performance & Development Opportunities (PDOs) in the form of online sessions, in-person development days, simulations and more.

Our first initiative begins in October in Nepean, Brampton and Aylmer. These three days will consist of on and off-ice training opportunities.

Keep an eye out for more dates located across the province as the season continues!

Dates:
  • October 19, 2021 – Nepean Sportsplex
  • October 20, 2021 – CAA Brampton
  • October 21, 2021 – East Elgin Community Complex

 Fall Development Day Details:
  • On-Ice edge & turn Class
  • On-Ice jump session
  • Off ice sessions including: healthy snacks, off-Ice jump and “You be the Judge”
  • Skaters will be responsible for their own lunch and snacks

Fee: $50

Coaches are welcome to register. Please note: Skater registration will be prioritized. Coach attendance will be based on available numbers within each facility. With registration, we will contact coaches to confirm.
