The Whitby Synchronized Skating Teams have proudly represented Whitby and the Durham region for over 40 years. Our club has a rich history of producing world class athletes and have won numerous National and World titles.
Whitby Synchronized Skating Teams is currently seeking a synchronized skating coach for the 2023-2024 skating season. A successful candidate must demonstrate a passion for the sport of synchro, be highly motivated and have a strong sense of camaraderie. We are looking for enthusiastic and reliable Coaches who are able to foster a positive training environment through their dedication to their team and the overall Club.
Qualifications include:
- Skate Canada Provincial Level Coaching or higher
- Must be in Good Standing with Skate Canada
- At least 2 year experience coaching Synchronized Skating at various levels.
- Able to communicate and interact well with skaters, coaches, parents, club volunteers and board members.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Offer on-ice coaching to team(s) ranging from 1-3 nights per week
- Offer off-ice training to team(s) at least once a week
- Collaborate with other club coaches and board members to execute club initiatives
- Day to Day operations of team(s)
- Work within board approved team budgets
