The Skate Seaway Skating Club is currently accepting applications for Professional Coaches to join our team. Located in Cornwall, we skate out of the Benson Centre, a modern multi-use facility with three NHL-sized rinks. Operating year round, our club is seeking Coaches interested in working with skaters at the Pre-CanSkate, CanSkate, and/or STARSkate levels.
Applicants must be enthusiastic and demonstrate a willingness to work collaboratively with fellow Coaches, skaters, parents, Board members, and volunteers. Our ideal candidate(s) will value and uphold coaching excellence and be committed to developing skaters in a fun, positive environment.
CanSkate Coach Qualifications:
- Club Coach In-Training or higher (CanSkate)
- Must be in good standing with Skate Canada and NCCP
STARSkate Coach Qualifications:
- Regional Coach In-Training or higher
- Must be in good standing with Skate Canada and NCCP
Additional Qualifications:
- Reliable and punctual
- Comfortable teaching group lessons
- Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills
- Interest in continued training and certification through the National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP)
- Proof of Federally approved Covid-19 vaccination
