Job Description
The Dunnville Skating Club is a Skate Canada sanctioned, volunteer run club at the Dunnville Memorial Arena in Dunnville Ontario. We currently offer programs for our community from beginner (children-adult) to the most skilled skater.
We are actively seeking a coaching candidate who is enthusiastic, dedicated to the sport and embraces working as a team starting for the 2023-2024 season. The Dunnville Skating Club runs sessions from September to March and offers programs 3 days a week.
Applicants will be considered for coaching CanSkate, PreStar Skate and/or StarSkate programs. The position involves coaching group lessons on our PreStar Skate, StarSkate and CanSkate sessions, as well as offering private lessons to our skaters as needed. Successful candidates must demonstrate a commitment to excellence, work well as part of the coaching team and support our athletes’ long term development.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
– Valid First Aid Certificate
– NCCP certificate and Member in Good Standing with Skate Canada
– CanSkate Club Coach certification (or In-training)
– Regional Coach certified or higher
– Excellent team building and interpersonal skills
– Record of experience in skating and coaching
